Love Health Truth Project

I believe that we need a village to unleash our excellence in life. When we are supported,
inspired and uplifted,
we have the courage to reach higher than we ever could’ve imagined. Every great person I know as a village. I also believe that you have the choice to create your own village, be it family, friends or someone in life so very different than you.  Someone you truly connect with on a soul level! We are here to be each others teachers, as well as students. I have been blessed in my life with a village of magnificent souls that keeps growing as I grow deeper within who I choose to be in this life. I welcome you into this village.  I hope you will find within yourself that one thing you really need to hear in order to open yourself up to greatness!!!

Robert “Dytch66” Gomez is a Graffiti/Street Muralist (and my hubby)

Dytch66 is a graffiti artist born and raised in LA and has been on the scene since1987. His style is a 3D lettering known as biomechanics, a modernized version from the old school wild style from NY. He has been mastering the 3D style for fifteen years and is considered top 10 in the world for this style.

Nona:  What does Love mean to you?

Robert:  Love is something that takes over everything you do. It is something you put everything into. Love is family, everything that you like, admire, want and appreciate. I express love through my art.  It is my vision of myself on the wall. The time and effort is an example of my love.  I stand sometimes for 12 to 14 hours a day with the love I have for what I do. I love the freedom that I have created for myself, I love that I have based a huge part of my life on things that people tell you not to do and mastering them.

Nona:  What does Health mean to you?

Robert: If you live your life to the best you can and the way that you want it to be. I think by doing so, you are creating a perfect health for who you want to be. If you can avoid the stress and the things you don't want to do in life - what society and the world tells you what they think you should do - it can help you age better. When you live for yourself and not for someone else, you age slower in life. Being healthy is living for yourself and making the most out of everyday. When I manage my time, I breakdown my goals into layers. By breaking them down piece by piece and recreating them. This way I’m not trying to take everything on as a one thing. This allows me to see everything clear before I can accomplish that goal.

Nona:  What does Truth mean to you?

Robert: For me to be truthful is everything. I am wholeheartedly an anarchist. I am going to challenge everything to the very end and try to find the truth in it. To me its just being blunt, forward and being honest with people. That way, there is nothing left to chance and its all in the open. The truth within my art is that I paint what I want and I hope people can appreciate it because I work really hard on it. I feel as an artist we are the creativity that feeds everyone around us and the truth is some are going to like it and some are not. Being Truthful is being self expressive to the fullest, no matter if people might like it. This can become challenging as a graffiti artist because most people don't understand it. Graffiti is always going to be the underdog, because people don’t understand what they are looking at and they can be ignorant to the art. I am proud to be a graffiti artist, I respect the art form and the roots that graffiti comes from. The art should have the respect it needs.  Words like street art are more respected than graffiti. If it wasn’t for graffiti starting in the ghetto’s, there wouldn't be street art!
